Segmented hickory shell
Got the shell today. Well done! Great looking drum, the bearing edges and snare beds are perfect. I really like the "ever so slight" round over on the bearing edges. The shell is solid as a rock and produces a nice clean note when struck. I guess that's one the advantages of segment style construction, you can use just about any kind of wood (or combination) you want. Thanks again!
