I built a stave snare drum shell with the intent of making a Radio King tribute snare. This throw off has a great look but the action is that of any other cheap replacement throw off. It takes a bit of fighting to both engage and disengage the wires and the tension knob is almost impossible to tighten when the snares are engaged requiring a struggle to throw them off to tighten. Loosening the wires while engaged does not pose a problem. I wish this throw off worked better since I had to drill 3 holes in my own custom shell to accommodate it and don't feel like plugging my first snare build so I can put a smoother throw off on it.
