This product is pretty great except for the fact that the spurs are an unnecessary 10.5mm as opposed to a usual 10mm or less floor tom leg bracket-size. So, buy the metal plate, but I guess you can just mail back the spurs as they'll be useless and just buy smaller spurs elsewhere...that is unless your floor tom is odd and has 10.5mm leg bracket holes (because your floor tom thinks it's is 50 pounds and needs 10.5mm thick legs as opposed to 9.5mm).
