I expected this to be a little cheesy piece of metal. When I got it, I was amazed with how beefy the ring really is. I also like that the ring is spread out over 5 lugs. Mapex Armory tom leg mounts don't quite fit, I slightly widened the holes to make it work, but I recommend using one of the larger tom mounts DFD suggests. The radius is a bit tight for my drum, but that happens with this style mount. Just widen/bend the ring a little at a time if you have the same issue.
