GORGEOUS in the black nickel!! I took a chance and bought just one TIMS in black nickel to try on my 8" Sonorlite Tom which is Onyx Black in color. Oh man, this black nickel showed up and is one quality piece!! Just like the old days when RIMS first debuted. I have know Gary Gauger since the late 80's and used his RIMS Mounts exclusively. But then they switched over the wider aluminum band version which I think are just clunky looking and feeling. The worst was my 8" Tom. The drum just did not sit in the newer aluminum Gauger Percussion RIMS band correctly. It flopped around. I am going to mount my 8" tom in this new black nickel TIMS and if all goes well I am then purchasing more for my remaining Sonorlite Tom-Toms. 10", 12", 14", and 15". I wish we could post pics here.
