I bought one looking for a deep sound I've been chasing for a long time. I put them on a Bubinga and Birch Tama kit and there was NO dampening needed, No Gels, and No Rings. it has the controlled over tones and the depth I was looking for. And hey they look really cool to boot! I started out on my 13 inch tom, one that I was always having a problem with getting the right tone while tuning this cleared it right up. Goodbye to the EC2 frosted heads!
