I've used the SC-GBDCA bass drum cymbal arm and receiver for a number of years now, and it is a solid performer. Mine is attached to the right side of my bass drum and holds my ride cymbal. It's very easy to install and is of very good quality. Stability has never been an issue. Once the cymbal arm is fixed in the appropriate position, it refuses to be moved. I've already purchased a second one to attach to the top of the bass drum for use with a splash cymbal. Highly recommended, and very reasonably priced.
