This is an excellent product however mine came bent from mishandling while shipping. It was clear to me that the shipping company dropped it or placed something heavy on top of the box. I called DFD and they are sending a new one with a return label for the old one. Asked for photos of the bent one. I am very satisfied with their handling of the situation and don't blame them at all for the damage. Still 4 stars just because other people are likely to experience this when ordering.

The shell is very high quality. The finish is flawless and beautiful and the shell has a beautiful natural tone to it when struck with a mallet or stick. The bearing edge can be hard to find. You can set the drum on a flat surface and try to find the area where they are cut/bent in.
