Just took delivery on these. "German designed", it states in the description... Emphasis on *designed*. While they may be "designed" in Germany, they are in fact manufactured in Taiwan. It's clearly stamped on the end clips. I could've saved quite a few $$ by purchasing the ("American designed") Taiwanese Gibraltars, as I don't notice any earth-shattering difference in sound or workmanship. Not overly disappointed in the product, but certainly not blown away by any measure. I do wish it's assembly had been noted in the description. I might've passed.
Kudos to drumfactorydirect for the fast shipping and excellent packaging. Disappointment for not being more accurate in their product description.
