I love having the extra bass tone I get from raising my bass drum off the floor. It just gives it more resonance. I have been using the Gibraltar Riser on my 20" Bass drum for years, but it's an extra setup piece when setting up or tearing down. With the Bass Plate Lift, it attaches right to the drum shell on the bottom 2 lugs and it stays on. No removing and carrying a heavy piece in the trap case from gig to gig. Fits easily in the Bass Drum Case too! This is a very cool item and I'm happy I bought it.
