These shells are very, very well made. The outer ply finishes nicely, so no need to wrap (unless you want to). The edges and beds are excellent. The finished drum I made with the cherry ply shell tuned up easily, sounds great and looks even better. The are fantastic shells for your next project and offer a great alternative to maple. Cherry is an excellent tone wood and very affordable.
