I have a Yamaha Al Foster Hip Gig set with an 18" bass drum and tom hoops. It's been difficult to find an 18" bass drum head with Tom hoops (everyone stocks the 16" version). Of course, dfd to the rescue with this Aquarian Superkick 1. Excellent head, and my bass drum finally sounds like a bass drum. Combined with Aquarian Regulator resonant head, the drum sounds great without any added dampening. If you've converted an 18" tom to a bass drum, give this head a try.
