I love the sound this head gives my 18" Pearl Decade BD. I remember when felt strips were popular for bass drum muffling. Aquarian brings this back and it's still a warmm, deep sound. While there's definitely a retro character, this head offers a lot more. A great sounding bass drum works for all types of music, so I'm glad I got the Deep Vintage II.
