Sound wise, the UV1 and UV2 are a tad more controlled than the equivalent G1 or G2. Durability wise, this the toughest texture coating I have ever seen. It might cost %50 more than the other snare heads but will definitely last 50% longer than other heads. I’d rather use a head longer and not have to retune. My heads that are many months old look brand new. They even seem to shrug off stick marks. I would definitely suggest these for touring drummers.
