The American hammered dulcimer is an essential instrument for Appalachian folk music, made by Roosebeck.  It's Euopean counterpart is in the zither family and is also known as a Sheitholt.  Our banjo dulcimers are shaped in such a way that they can be played like a guitar instead of layed flat like a traditional ducimer.  These instruments are all visually stunning and hand crafted from spruce, rosewood or lacewood.  Most dulcimers qualify for free shipping in the Continental US.
